Name: Time Skip
Secret Identity: Horatia Young
Powers: Time manipulation: can pause, slow, speed up, or reverse time, while maintaining a stable timeline. Super apathy and procrastination.
Origin Story: Horatia was a typical college student who procrastinated on everything, even on assignments that interested her. Staying up late and subsisting on coffee became the norm for her, as it was the only way that she would finish her homework. That is, until one fateful day when Horatia went to the chemistry building to ask her professor about extra credit opportunities. On the way to her professor’s office, a vat of bizarre chemicals spilled and flooded the hallways.
As fate would have it, Horatia was holding a Venti Americano with a double shot of espresso when the wave of chemicals hit her. The large amount of caffeine combined with the chemicals distorted and changed Horatia’s dna.
When she recovered, she discovered that she possessed new and strange powers. Suddenly she was on time for everything, even when she left with only a minute before class. When she went to do her assignments, time seemed to move more slowly, allowing her to get everything done on time. She didn’t question it however, until one day at the bank. When a pair of criminals threatened to rob the bank, Horatia accidentally caused time to freeze.
That’s when it dawned on her, that she had received superpowers from the chemical spill. Taking her time, Horatia leisurely took the criminals’ guns and tied them up, thus saving the day.
Having watched enough movies on Netflix, Horatia knew what she had to do next. She donned the mantle of Time Skip, the world’s laziest superhero. Using her fantastic time powers, she is able to procrastinate in everything, including crime fighting, without consequence.
